Southshore University College is set to witness a significant moment in its student leadership journey as the Students' Representative Council (SRC) prepares for the Official Inauguration and Swearing-In Ceremony of the incoming SRC Officers for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.
Scheduled for Friday, 5th June 2026 at 2:00 PM at the
Postgraduate Suite, the ceremony will formally usher a new generation of
student leaders into office. The event is expected to bring together members of
the university community, university management, invited guests, and student
representatives to celebrate the transition of leadership and reaffirm the
values of service and responsible governance.
The ceremony will be held under the theme, "Service,
Structure, Accountability and Transformational Student Leadership," a
theme that reflects the incoming administration's vision of strengthening
student representation, promoting accountability, and advancing initiatives
that positively impact the student body.
In a welcome message contained in the official programme
booklet, President-Elect Henry Kwaku Annorh describes the occasion as more than
a ceremonial transition. According to him, the event represents a public
commitment to serving students with integrity, respect for constitutional
order, and an unwavering focus on student welfare. He also acknowledges the
contributions of the outgoing administration, university management, partners,
and the wider Southshore community in supporting student leadership.
The inauguration will officially mark the assumption of
office by the newly elected and appointed SRC officers through the
administration of the prescribed oaths of office. Leading the incoming
administration is Henry Kwaku Annorh as SRC President, supported by David
Enaholo Ituadon as Vice President.
Other members of the executive team include Victoria
Bamidele as General Secretary, Promise Childers Ogbonna as Deputy General
Secretary, Bismark Osafo as Financial Secretary, William Klutse as Deputy
Finance Secretary, Samuel Monday as Public Relations Officer, Princess Angel G.
Adotey as External Affairs Secretary, Peter Kenney Yohuno as External Affairs
President, Priscilla Naa Ayeley Kwei-Kuma as Gender/Women's Commissioner, and
Sam Jonah as Welfare Commissioner.
Also expected to serve in the incoming administration are A.
Nii Korley Commodore as Sports and Games Commissioner, Aste Emy Ivanne Aifale
as Property and Facility Commissioner, Joshua Anzunna as Legal Affairs
Commissioner, Nicholas E. Egharevba as Entertainment Commissioner, Promise
Chiemenam Ofoegbu as Transport Commissioner, Charles Kwaku Blankson as Weekend
Student Representative, and Nino Brown Osahenrumwen Osunbor as President of
International Students.
As anticipation builds ahead of the inauguration, students
