Southshore University College, in collaboration with MediaTech, is set to host an exciting TV Production and Presenting Workshop on Friday, 13th June 2026, from  10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The event will provide students with a unique opportunity to gain practical insights into the world of television presenting, media communication, and broadcast production.

The workshop will feature two distinguished professionals from academia and industry who will share their expertise and experiences with participants.

Bethel Chinedu Ahamefule, Head of Marketing at Southshore University College, will lead the first session, focusing on television presenting, personal branding, and effective communication. Students will learn how to build confidence in front of the camera, develop a strong personal brand, improve presentation skills, and position themselves for success in the rapidly evolving media landscape.

The second session will be facilitated by Jay Denton, General Manager of MediaTech, who will introduce participants to the technical side of television production. Students will gain valuable exposure to camera operations, studio lighting, audio management, production workflows, and the technologies that power modern broadcasting.

The workshop is expected to offer an engaging blend of theory and practical demonstrations, allowing participants to interact directly with media professionals and gain a deeper understanding of career opportunities within the broadcasting and media industries.

As part of Southshore University College's commitment to experiential learning and industry engagement, the event aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional practice by exposing students to real-world media environments and emerging trends in television production.

Students with interests in journalism, broadcasting, marketing, communications, content creation, public relations, and digital media are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this valuable learning opportunity.

The collaboration between Southshore University College and MediaTech underscores a shared vision of developing future-ready professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in the media and communications sector.

The University community looks forward to a highly interactive and impactful workshop that will inspire the next generation of media professionals.
